Kitagwenda LC5 Chairperson Granted Bail After Months on Remand
Kitagwenda District Chairperson Ismail Mushemeza has been granted bail after months on remand over allegations of obtaining money by false pretence, with investigations ongoing.

 

The Kitagwenda District Chairperson, Ismail Mushemeza, has been released on bail as investigations into his case continue.

Mushemeza was arrested in December last year by officers from the State House Anti-Corruption Unit and had been held at Kamwenge Government Prison on seven counts of obtaining money by false pretence.

Court proceedings are ongoing as authorities continue their investigations into the allegations.
